I am an early childhood education graduate with both undergraduate and master’s training in the field, whose academic journey has consistently centered on children’s social and emotional development.

My undergraduate thesis examined the impact of service learning on children’s independence—an area that, at the time, had not yet been formally explored within the Indonesian early childhood education context. Drawing entirely on international literature, this research contributed an early scholarly perspective on service learning in Indonesia and has since been cited by other researchers.

This early focus on social and emotional learning deepened during my master’s studies through an ethnographic thesis that explored children’s character development within a specific cultural community. The research involved close engagement with families and local contexts, reinforcing my interest in understanding children not only through theory, but through lived experience.

Professionally, I have worked across higher education, curriculum development, and educational content creation. Rather than viewing research and practice as separate paths, I approach them as interconnected processes—where academic inquiry informs practice, and real-world experiences continuously refine theory.

This sustained intersection of early childhood education and social-emotional learning eventually led to the creation of The Little Bloom Lab, an independent project that translates research-based insights into practical learning resources for children and families.
